Summer 08 in Japan Part I

21st birthday, kaiten sushi restaurant, Fukuoka Tower, love luck draw, hanging out in a Japanese bar and eating Okaasan's cake.

Zazen trip, failed meditation session in this beautiful temple and another that we visited in Dazaifu (MC's homestay town)

Farming trip which we weeded some of the paddy fields and had a Japanese beef BBQ, yummy!

Traditional Japanese feast we ate in yukata, kindaikyou (ribbon belt bridge) under which we played in the river, Miyajima (famous for a torii, the red thing, that can be reached when tide is low), eating okonomiyaki (veggie pancake).

We do study, you know. Presentations and lectures, blah blah..., super fun!

Hells (volcanic steam) in Beppu

Homestay with the coolest families, Otoosan and Okaasan daisuki!!!

Hanabi daikai, fireworks display (6000 fireworks, lots of gals in yukata)

Traveling to Fukuoka on Shinkansen

Dorm life - JR train to class everyday
